Waiting for results

Anxiously waiting for results, And post that, it's GWPI.. Career is in doldrums, Uncertainties are everywhere. Whether I'll make it, Or will it remain an elusive dream? Whether things will go alright? Or will have to be just satisfied? All these thoughts surrounding us, While everybody else Is busy preparing To bid farewell to the passing year And welcome the new year. Everybody else is busy celebrating, While we don't know, Whether to celebrate, Or to wait till results. Hope is keeping us going Hope that we'll celebrate. {Waiting for CAT results, while 2018 is bidding us bye..}

Prayer

O God! Give me The power To wake up with a smile Everyday! The courage To stand with truth and justice Everytime! The endurance To strive for success Every second! The compassion To help the worthy On every opportunity! The valour To become a better self With every passing moment!

A new hope

I was stuck Among the demons Tried hard to escape But failed every time Got reaped Of body and soul I closed my eyes And saw a light Too bright, too white But the road was dark I moved along The demons laughed I moved along Now it's just a hand away

Sunset

The clouds have turned blood red, Perhaps they feel the pain of the sun going away, Its love is visible on its face and it looks so beautiful in this form, Slowly but steadily, the rays, rubbing its body are moving away, Only to return again tomorrow and kiss it again.

A storm passed

A storm passed Dust filled the air Tears filled my eyes When I closed them, Some drops fell, The ground got wet And now I await To see that return The storm took away

NITK Beach

Blue & red sky with sun of the eve Soothing sound of birds and breeze Shells with shine blushing on sand Waves from west lulling on land Solitary rocks offering seats And the lighthouse showing ships That's NITK Beach (Lots of memories)

Alone in the crowd

Alone in the crowd My eyes await your return My heart feels, you are close My soul senses your warmth When tears splash I put on sunglasses, Sit on the roadside And look for you, For you may pass one day See me, and hug me once again, Be in love once again

Little parrot, little parrot

Little parrot, little parrot Who gave you the green glow? Eating guava, eating carrot, Our words, how do you know? Singing songs in my home Swinging sensation on the door Smiling, dancing in the cage Will you join me in a game?

The displaced tribals

Here lived my forest My people The sacred pond The ghost tree The primeval souls And the totems Then one day They said We must be moved For all to develop Now I see It was a lie A false truth They developed They flourished, We were forgotten

Religion vs Nation

"Doesn't religion divide nations?" "Nations are new, Religions are ageless" "Isn't religion obsolete?" "Religion is a ferrule which binds when the world is withering away" "Not always!" "But across the borders, Across the nation-states"

Know Me: Vikash Kumar

"Everything I know, I know because of love" That's Charles Dickens in War and Peace. I know things because of my experiences and imaginations. Life is a journey, from one point to another, from one corner to another, and meanwhile showing us the enigma and the beauty of various life forms, of forms without life and of abstract sensations. We get experience in this journey. And having got the power of words, we sync them in the rhythm of the events of our lives, and we create poems, poems which reflect what we have gone through what we feel and what we have become. Often these very poems also reflect what we want to achieve and what we ought to become. Plus our imaginative tendencies. Believe me readers, all of us have this poet hidden in us. I, Vikash Kumar, am just one among you. Giving conveyable words to my poems. Born and brought up in a small village in East Champaran district of Bihar, having done engineering from one of very pr...
